Career Direction

Do you have a job but wished you had a career?

One of the most important questions we face is, “What can I do and where can I go to find work that is right for me and truly satisfying?”

Job status, level of compensation and history of accomplishment may be good indicators of past satisfaction, but not current satisfaction. I have found that our instinct for fulfillment continually seeks renewal throughout our lifetime.

As your coach, I would get you to look deeply into what would bring you satisfaction and a sense of well-being in your work and life. I utilize the DISC and Myers Briggs personality profiling systems to assess your interests, strengths and weaknesses, to help you develop your level of self-awareness that is so vital toward making sure that you are moving in the right direction.

A radically different mind-set is needed to succeed in today’s world because it is much less forgiving of career mistakes than it once was.

“Working with you has truly helped me start creating my life career. Your coaching sessions with me were helpful because I was able to learn so much more about myself. Now realizing my strengths and weaknesses I am able to make better choices for my future.” J. B., Student, College of Charleston

“I had a career in sales for 10 years but I began to feel restless and unfulfilled. I didn’t know what direction to take or how to begin to find my true calling. Erik helped me find what motivates me and what I’m passionate about. He helped me realize my potential by presenting his life experiences. I am now starting my own Eco Bag Business.” - C. A., Sales, Billboard Advertising

Sometimes people choose their career on what they “should” do to please other people instead of themselves. Now they are living another person’s dream instead of their own. Does that sound familiar? You should be listening to your own inner sense of what works best for you.
